21st September 2018 will be the International Grenache Day and the perfect excuse to enjoy Tatos, the new author’s wine from Rioja Alavesa we are introducing this month.
Tatos means siblings and they launched this collection to honor the six children of the Winery founder D. Santiago: Antonio, Ignacio, Rosalia, Arturo, Maria and Rut . Six different wine labels, six colors, six children, one wine.
This 100% Garnacha has been aged in new and old oak for eight months to soft the juice from the grips of chewy tannins to produce a round, velvety and structured red. The mid-palate is full of toasted vanilla, ripe red fruit, hints of clove and the beginnings of creamy notes.
Match very well with rich food, red meat or full-flavoured cheeses.
